2016 RAWK Review

As we start another year in earnest it seems a good moment to sneak a glance at the extraordinary 12 months that was 2016. Consolidating our existing client base and working with some exciting new teams has meant new locations, new opportunities and the chance to deliver some truly incredible projects.

Once again we have found ourselves traversing the globe through our involvement in an amazing range of incredible activations. From serving craft gin and tonic in a converted horse box at Standon Calling Festival in Hertfordshire to the end to end delivery of the Dewar’s Hotel activations in Edinburgh and Manchester. From introducing 22 Russian bartenders to a giant scotch egg piñata at 7000ft up in The Highlands of Scotland to providing ambassadorial support at a trade show in Northern Germany. We even got nominated for our first ever award, making it to the shortlist for the Field Marketing Awards alongside some incredible global campaigns.

Throughout the year we have tailored our approach individually to every single event. A very different style is required when delivering a whisky sampling from an oak bar at the Scottish Game Fair in Perthshire to serving bottled Bobby Burns from a converted 1970s van at London Cocktail Week in Shoreditch!

We pride ourselves in our ability to be flexible in our service offering, but at the beginning of the year none of us would have guessed that we’d find ourselves auditioning 12 actors in a day, supervising live chickens on the side of a mountain, or hosting a dinner for German supermarket executives in Cologne on the eve of the EU referendum! During one particularly busy 22 day period in the summer, Dylan, our Head of special projects visited 7 cities in 4 countries taking 10 flights, 11 taxis, 7 trams, 4 trains and 2 buses to cover a total of 8000 miles!!

With so many new projects already filling the calendar for this year it looks possible that the next 12 months could be even better. If you’d like to be a part of our plans for the coming year, or you think we could help your brand in 2017, then please do get in touch. We love to hear from new people and are always interested in new projects.
